Well, I must say that Minister Bagnold's announcement put a somber face on what is otherwise a pleasant day all around. Still, we must keep our chins up: as bleak as these circumstances are, the Ministry makes these decisions for our children and our children's children, that they might live in a world without the threat of terrorism. For Draco's sake, I'm thrilled to see the Ministry finally taking such measures, and I certainly trust them to be responsible in this training and usage.

In any case, I have high hopes for the coming year for myself and my family, despite this dark news.

The hypocrisy astounds me, but at least they finally show their true colors. I cannot say that I am entirely surprised, merely impressed that the Minister would make such a brazen announcement.

I do wonder if any of them have the courage to actually follow through with the Unforgiveables. I highly doubt it.
